Fire on the Mountain

Plot Summary:

Megatron plans to use a crystal residing in an Incan temple to power a new weapon, and to stop him, the Autobots rescue Skyfire ("Fire in the Sky") from the Arctic Circle.

Best Dialogue:

Skywarp: "Have fun playing crystal nurse, Screamer! Bye!"

Watch For...

Starscream's chest missiles. I don't think we ever see them again.

The automatic doors inside the Incan temple. Oh, and the Transformer-sized steps.

Comments:

There seem to be an awful lot of ways to get to the Earth's core. Or maybe not. The Crystal of Power looks an awful lot like the Arctic energy crystals from "Fire in the Sky".

Doesn't poor Skyfire get a break? "Hey, Skyfire! Too bad you got shot down and frozen and all. Now fly us all over the Americas for a day and a half before we have Ratchet check you out."

There are automatic doors inside the Incan temple, and some of the alien species from second season (Titans and Trallacans are the ones coming to mind) appear to have a vaguely mezo-American influence on their styles of dress and architecture. Hmmm....

Now, the Autobots are in Oregon, correct? And the Incan temple is in South America? And Skyfire is in the Antarctic? Yes? Yes. So isn't it actually more fuel efficient to just go to South America and leave Skyfire where he is? Especially since Trailbreaker and Brawn are already in South America (I assume, since the Peruvian chick shows up at the factory later), so it really can't be that far a trip for them. We've certainly seen them travel long distances in short periods of time before they ever knew about Skyfire.
