Auto Berserk

Plot Summary:

The Negavator, part of a human-Autobot joint project, is undergoing testing at a bunker out in the desert, when the Decepticons attack, attempting to steal it. During the ensuing battle, both the bunker and Autobot Security Chief Red Alert are damaged. While the bunker can be rebuilt, Red Alert hides his injury, rapidly becoming more and more erratic and paranoid, believing that the Autobots want to kill him in order for Inferno to take over the post of Security Chief. Meanwhile, Starscream, once again on the outs with Megatron, learns of Red Alert's growing paranoia and co-opts him into helping him steal the Negavator from the bunker.

Best Dialogue:

Ramjet: "If I crash, I take an Autobot with me!"

Megatron: (after Ramjet crashes into him) "I've got morons on my team!"

Fire Chief: (after Ironhide picks up his car) "Hey, that's my car! Put it back where you found it!"
Ironhide: "Ah, sorry, Chief, it looked like a friend of mine." (puts car down, transforms, and drives away)
Fire Chief: "No two ways about it, I've got to take that vacation!"

Watch For...

G.I. Joe-style helicopter.

How much the Tunnel Drone looks like a product of Quantum Laboratories. ("Day of the Machines")

Comments:

The Negavator cockpit appears built specifically to hold either Minibots or humans, with allowances made for use by a larger Transformer. The seat is close to the controls, but there's nothing in behind it.

Admittedly, you shouldn't have a ventilation shaft large enough for people to fit through leading to your superweapon, especially not one that can eliminate anything in it's path, but 1) who would have guessed that the Security Chief would be the one breaking in and 2) it's a kid's cartoon where they can't show Red injuring his friends, so the plot device is necessary.
