A
Prime Problem
|
|
Plot
Summary:
|
 |
Upon
discovering a crevice full of energy-rich corlonium
crystals, which destroy electronic components
on contact, Megatron devises a plan to trick the
Autobots into the crevice. Megatron creates a
clone of Optimus Prime which is controlled from
Decepticon Headquarters, and sends the clone back
to the Ark in place of the real Optimus Prime,
in order to have the false Prime return with the
Autobots to the chasm, and lead them into it.

Watch
For...
|
 |
Only
appearance of Autoscout, one of Soundwave's cassettes
that was never sold as a toy.
First
(and unexplained) brief appearances of Warpath
and Powerglide.
After
'Starscream' is destroyed, Starscream is still
standing in the crowd.
The
real Prime flubs Trailbreaker's name, calling
him Trailblazer.
Windcharger
appears to be holding a piece of the Autoscout.

Comments:
|
 |
Prime
is unusually aggressive in this episode. And why
doesn't he wonder why they all left without him?
If
Megatron is still wearing the control headset
during the mid-show exposition, wouldn't the clone
repeat it too?
Look
at the pat on the head at the end. Look at it!
I spent an entire evening petting a friend's kitten
in exactly the same way. I wonder if kittens
are ever inspired to plot doom...
