Traitor
|
|
Plot
Summary:
|
 |
After
Decepticons steal experimental and highly dangerous
electrocells from a human laboratory, Cliffjumper
finds them located in an area Mirage had reported
empty the previous day, and accuses Mirage of
being a traitor to the Autobots. In an attempt
to prove his loyalty and recover the electrocells,
Mirage steals energon cubes from the Insecticons
and leaves them at the Decepticon camp in order
to trick the Insecticons into attacking the Decepticons.
During the ensuing battle, Bombshell tags him
with a cerebro-shell and causes him to attack
the Autobots, only confirming Cliffjumper's suspicions.

therefore I own them!"
Cliffjumper:
"Uh oh, sounds like I'm not alone!"

is one of those times you really need a friend!"
Megatron:
"I know this will be difficult for you, Bombshell,
but think!"

Watch
For...
|
 |
Camera
pans around Megatron and Starscream, looking almost
like bullet-time, instead of simply a static shot
or horizontal pan.
Soundwave
physically instead of automatically closes his
cassette door.
Shrapnel
speaks with no reverb added.
Unusally,
Mirage cloaks while crouched, instead of while
standing or in car mode.
Kickback
with black optics.

I
must not have seen this episode when it originally
aired, because I'm sure I would have remembered
it. The animation is top notch, the direction
differs in key places (ie. the panning shot mentioned
above), the story excellently written from beginning
to end, and it has some great character development.
You
don't see Decepticons that close to humans all
that often. The size comparisons in the opening
scene are nice to see.
What
is that thing Mirage is holding made out of? It
looks like cloth, but when it unfolds it makes
a metallic noise.
Cliffjumper
is downright scary in this episode!
