Of all my obsessions, Transformers is the most beloved, particularly the 1984 cartoon, or Generation One as it is now commonly called. Why am I obsessed with a show that went off the air only a few years after I entered elementary school? Well, I am fascinated by computers (I have a diploma in Multimedia Design), and what could be more fascinating than giant, intelligent, walking, talking computers that can change form? Add to that a plotline with a lot of promise — a war between "good" and "evil" aliens for control of a home world brought to an unsuspecting and innocent Earth — hints at an old and rich history. Who wouldn't be interested? Granted, nostalgia plays a part as well, but as an adult I can see both sides of the conflict more easily, and for me that only makes it more interesting. Who is good? Who is evil? Are both sides equally in the wrong, and simply refusing to see it? What happened to cause this schism of a species? That, for me, is what makes it interesting now.

That, and Transformers are just really, really, really cool!

This tribute to my favorite obsession includes my fanfic, screen capture archive, episode guide for the 1984 cartoon, and reviews of each DVD box set. All screen grabs are used by permission from SoundEffect, the guy who took them, but without permission from the people who actually own them, Hasbro and Takara.

April 19 , 2005	Replaced the screen capture tables with a single, integrated Flash movie in the G1 Autobot, Decepticon , and Object galleries. Hopefully this conversion will end the bandwidth theft. If not, down come the galleries.
